 Last week  our  class completed a series of presentations about changemakers people who have made a positive impact on the world by creating change in their communities, this country, or even globally. Each student researched and presented a different person who helped improve society in some way. These presentations were not only informative but also inspiring because they showed how individuals can make a difference through courage, creativity, and determination. Listening to my classmates talk about different changemakers helped me understand that change can happen in many different fields, including civil rights, science, education, music,and environmental protection.

 For me one of the most interesting parts of the presentations was learning about the different backgrounds of the changemakers. Some of them were well known historical figures, while others were modern leaders or activists. Even though their lives were different, they all shared something in common, they saw a problem in the world and worked hard to fix it. This showed me that changemakers are not just people with power or fame. Sometimes they are ordinary people who decide to take action when they see something that needs improvement.

Several  classmates presentations focused on leaders who fought for equality and civil rights. These changemakers believed that all people deserve fair treatment regardless of race, gender, or background.  in my presentation i explained  martin luther king jr. , a historical change maker  organized peaceful protests, gave powerful speeches, and worked to change unfair laws. Learning about these efforts reminded me that social progress often takes courage and persistence. Many of these leaders faced criticism, danger, or setbacks, but they continued working toward their goals because they believed in justice.

Another group of presentations highlighted changemakers in science and medicine. These individuals helped improve the world by discovering new ideas, inventing technology, or finding ways to treat diseases. Their work showed how knowledge and innovation can solve serious problems. For example, scientists have developed medical treatments that save lives and technologies that make communication easier. These presentations helped me appreciate how scientific research can make everyday life better for millions of people

One important topic  in my opinion that appeared in one of the presentations was improving communication. Communication is a key part of how people share ideas, learn from one another, and work together to solve problems. Some of my classmates presented changemakers who made communication faster and easier around the world. For example, one presentation discussed Alexander Graham Bell, who invented the telephone and allowed people to speak to each other over long distances. Before the telephone, people had to rely on letters or messages that could take days or weeks to arrive, which made me  me realize how much of an impact this change maker had.

Another interesting part of the presentations focused on music changemakers. Music has always been a powerful way for people to express ideas, emotions, and messages. Some musicians use their songs to speak about important issues and inspire change in society. Music can bring people together, raise awareness about problems, and encourage people to think differently about the world. For example, Elvis Presley where he was redefining American culture through rock and roll. In the 1950s, American society valued stability, family structure, and being conformed into one space, especially after World War II. Elvis disrupted that image because his performances were emotional, physical and expressive in many ways that hadnt been seen on national television , and in this way he had a great impact on society.

Education was another area where changemakers have made an impact. Some people dedicate their lives to improving schools, creating educational programs, or helping students gain access to learning opportunities. These changemakers believe that education is one of the most powerful tools for improving society. When people have access to knowledge, they can develop new skills, solve problems, and create better futures for themselves and their communities. Listening to these presentations made me realize how important teachers, mentors, and education advocates are in shaping the world.

What made the presentations especially engaging was the way each student shared their research. Many students used slides, pictures, and videos to help explain the achievements of their changemaker. Visuals made the stories easier to understand and helped bring the presentations to life. Some students also included quotes from their changemaker or examples of their most important accomplishments. These details helped the class connect with the stories and understand why these individuals were important.

Furthur more, an intriguing part of the presentations was learning about the challenges that changemakers faced. Many of them experienced failure, criticism, or obstacles while trying to create change. However, they did not give up. Instead, they continued working toward their goals and found new ways to overcome difficulties. This showed me that creating change is rarely easy. It often requires patience, resilience, and a strong belief in the cause.

The presentations also helped me see that changemakers can influence people in different ways. Some inspire change through leadership and public speaking, while others contribute through research, creativity, or community work. Not every changemaker becomes famous, but their actions can still have a lasting impact. Sometimes even small actions can start a chain reaction that leads to bigger improvements in society. 

 A  lesson I learned from the presentations is that anyone can become a changemaker. Many of the individuals we learned about started with simple ideas or small actions. Over time, their efforts grew into larger movements or important achievements. This shows that making a difference does not always require huge resources or special advantages. What matters most is having the motivation to address problems and help others.

In conclusion, the changemaker presentations were a valuable learning experience. They showed how individuals from different backgrounds and professions have worked to improve the world. Whether through activism, science, education, or environmental work, each changemaker demonstrated the power of determination and compassion. Their stories remind us that progress often begins with one person who decides to take action. I think everyone did a very good job presenting their part and i see in my opinion improvement from the first project and can tell some classmates learned from mistakes done on the last project.
